"How much does that booth
cost?"
We get this question lot, usually in
conjunction with a finger pointing at a photo.
Unless you are interested in a standard item, it is hard
to give a straight answer and here's why. It's like asking how
much are a pair of pants? You can probably get a decent
pair for $29.95. A good designer pair can cost $299.95 and
more. You can't always tell what you are getting by
looking at a photo as any catalog shopper knows. Okay, I know, that seems a little
obvious. Everyone knows the price range of a pair of
pants. Here is a general rule of thumb about exhibit
prices:
CUSTOM MODULAR - LINEAR- includes
things like: laminates, built-in
counters, backlit graphics and truss, and shipping
cases.
RANGE: $6,00-1,200 per linear foot.
CUSTOM MODULAR HYBRID -
ISLANDS- Includes same as above but all sides must be finished
for an island exhibit. An island usually takes advantage of
non-restrictive heights so may include taller towers, exotic fabric
structures, conference areas. RANGE:
$100-200 per square foot
NOTE: These ranges do not
include custom carpet, art production, freight or
installation.
It is always a good idea to find out
the estimated cost of usage. Just knowing the estimated weight
can give you several conclusions about shipping and drayage
costs. BUT, although you want to be practical you
must also be reasonable. In other words a 15 lb.
portable table is probably not the best choice for a computer stand
no matter how well made it is, or how compact it ships.
RENTAL SOLUTIONS-The rule of thumb for rentals is they cost
about 30% of purchasing. Some of that money will be on things
you will actually be purchasing like the graphics. We have so
many type of structures and materials in our inventory we can
customize an exhibit so even we would have a hard time telling it
was a rental! We keep most of it in LAS VEGAS so we pass on
some great savings in that venue.
